The Golden State Warriors bring a three-game winning streak into Sunday's home game against the LA Clippers. According to SB Nation, they will play it without Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Curry has been the engine of the turnaround, so his absence changes the game even though the opponent arrives in poor shape.

The Clippers come to Chase Center at 1-4 after four straight losses. Their most recent was a 127-101 defeat in Minnesota, where the Timberwolves closed the game on a 23-2 run without Anthony Edwards. SB Nation's Daniel Hardee calls this "a different Clippers team" from the one Bay Area fans have known. Kawhi Leonard is gone, and the offense now runs through Darius Garland, Brandon Ingram and rookie Keaton Wagler, the No. 5 pick. Wagler has scored in double figures in every game and keeps getting to the line: he made 7 of 8 free throws in Minnesota while going 2 for 11 from the field. Rui Hachimura is back from a quad injury, and Brook Lopez scored 13 off the bench against the Wolves. Big man Yanic Konan Niederhauser is out after Lisfranc surgery, which leaves the Clippers thin up front against Golden State's smaller lineups.

The Warriors' depth was the story of their 112-95 win over the Lakers. Their reserves outscored the Lakers' bench 50-7. De'Anthony Melton scored 16, Georges Niang finished plus-21 and Will Richard was plus-20. Without Curry and Green, that second unit will have to carry a much bigger load. Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg is also under a spotlight after a rough rematch with Luka Doncic: six points, five turnovers and a foul-out, following a week of headlines over his opening-night comments about Doncic.

The teams also share some recent history. Last April, Curry returned from a knee problem to lead Golden State past the Clippers 126-121 in the play-in tournament. That game ended the Clippers' season and, as it turned out, the Leonard era.

What it means for Sunday

The wins came by 20 in Denver, by five in Minnesota and by 17 at home over the Lakers. Both teams have now played in Minnesota, and the Warriors won there while the Clippers lost by 26. Tip-off is 5:30 p.m. PT.

The market sees this as close to a coin flip, which fits a meeting between a short-handed home team on a run and a struggling road team still learning its new pieces. Follow the rest of the season on our Warriors page.
