The second quarter turned it. Phoenix outscored the Warriors 35-29 to take a 57-54 lead into halftime.
The third settled it. The Suns scored 45 points in 12 minutes, and even a 38-point quarter from Golden State left the Warriors down 102-92 going into the fourth. Phoenix's lead reached 16 at its widest. Golden State took the fourth 30-29, which was not enough to make it close at the finish.

Against the number
Phoenix closed as a 9.5-point favorite. A nine-point loss meant Golden State covered by half a point, and the Warriors' 30-29 fourth quarter is the reason.
The total closed at 221.5. The teams combined for 253, clearing it by 31.5, and the 83 combined points in the third quarter did much of that work on their own.
The moneyline closed at Golden State +320 and Phoenix -410. The favorite won straight up. Odds, line history and the full board are on the game page.
