The Golden State Warriors led by 16, lost all of it in the third quarter, and needed overtime to beat the Orlando Magic 126-119 at Chase Center on Saturday. Stephen Curry decided it. He finished with 41 points on 5-of-10 from three, and the Warriors won the extra period 16-9.

It is a seventh straight win for Golden State, now 7-3 after an 0-3 start. Orlando falls to 2-7.

How it was won

The first half was one-way. Golden State won the first quarter 31-19 and the second 26-22 for a 57-41 lead at the break.

The third quarter flipped it. Orlando scored 37 to the Warriors' 20 and took a 78-77 lead into the fourth. The Magic's largest lead of the night was six.

The fourth was even, 33-32 to Golden State, and regulation ended 110-110. In overtime the Warriors scored 16 points to Orlando's 9.

The box score explains how Golden State survived a night with 19 turnovers. The Warriors shot 43-of-80 (54%) against Orlando's 43-of-113 (38%). Same number of makes, 33 fewer attempts. Golden State also got to the line more, going 25-of-31 against 15-of-21, and won points in the paint 50-44.

Orlando kept itself in it on the glass and with volume. The Magic outrebounded Golden State 57-42, which fed those extra shots, and attempted 54 threes, making 18. Golden State went 15-of-32.

Curry had 41 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Yaxel Lendeborg added 23 points and 8 rebounds, going 2-of-4 from deep. Brandin Podziemski scored 15 with 7 rebounds and hit 4 of his 5 threes. The Warriors had 32 assists on 43 baskets.

For Orlando, Franz Wagner had 30 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists, shooting 3-of-7 from three. Tristan da Silva scored 19 with 7 rebounds but went 5-of-16 from deep. Wendell Carter Jr. added 19 points and 11 rebounds and made all three of his threes.

Against the number

Golden State closed as a 7.5-point favourite and won by seven, so Orlando covered. A home team that led by 16 at one point and went to overtime ended half a point short.

The total closed at 220.5 and the teams scored 245, an over. The detail worth noting: regulation finished at 220 combined points, half a point under. The over came entirely from overtime, where 25 points were scored.

On the moneyline, Golden State closed at -309 and Orlando at +250. The favourite won, but not comfortably.

Closing prices and the full market for this one are on the game page.

What's next

The Warriors host the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday, November 9, 2026 at Chase Center, on NBA TV, GCSEN and Pelicans.com. The win streak is at seven, built on wins over Denver, Minnesota, the Lakers, the Clippers, Phoenix, Miami and now Orlando. The turnover count, 19 here, is the thing to watch on short rest.

Orlando's next game was not included in the material we have. At 2-7, the Magic leave with a cover and a third quarter to build on, and another loss in the standings.
